Working in the bindery department of print shops in her early days, then being introduced to letterpress at Oregon College of Art & Craft certainly shaped Carly’s artistic view of the world. But not as much as falling in lurve with a bearded man from Bellingham, WA, and becoming a young entrepreneur in a creative and quirky town. Kevin and Carly began collecting and restoring old presses and printing tools, slowly growing their own line of sweet ‘n’ strange paper goods. Collaborating with a small group of hardworking artists has definitely expanded their style—but what sets them apart is their ability to get a balanced, heavy letterpress impression out of their beautiful (and sometimes ornery) old machines.< less
