“I usually have an idea, or am inspired by something I’ve seen, then at night I fall asleep thinking about a potential design. In the morning I often have ideas to work on in the studio.”

David literally transforms one man's trash into something newer, better and, yes, rather treasure-like. He is inspired and energized when he comes across a pile of "junk" that someone's looking to get rid of. And he takes things like steel wire and makes lovely baskets, praised for their aesthetic and functionality, as well as using recycled items in his kinetic sculpture, lighting and mixed media work. The result is a happy medium between products for fine art admirers and the environmentally conscious — both groups have plenty of common, hand-crafted ground to stand on here.
