Coffee in Bed

Asheville, North Carolina

“I adore the handmade process and have always been interested in multiples of images in print. The possibilities are endless in the world of printmaking.”

Mike’s man cave is unlike the dimly lit sports dens you’ve encountered: His “man cave of creativity” is a basement studio filled with art supplies, vintage furniture and bikes, where he makes linocut block and screenprints. He draws inspiration from the arty and adorable town of Asheville, where he’s in the midst of mountains, a thriving art community and an urban lifestyle. So, what of the name? It came from a funny little song that he and his wife made up during a huge snowstorm one morning. It reminds him to wake up slow and take a brief moment to enjoy life. Before heading down to his man cave.
