about Convivial Production

“I really valued and thrived in the arts. I took classes every semester and knew with great confidence that I would continue artistic work throughout my life. I was captivated and have stuck with it ever since.”

Chentell's motivation for doing what she does is a simple one: conviviality. She seeks to create ceramic art that serves to set the scene for people to join together — to eat, drink and be joyful with one another. She's a studio artist, one who describes herself as efficient, introverted and gentle. And she makes personal pieces. Pieces for plants, homes and stores, infusing meaning into life's daily routine whenever possible. The architecturally inspired patterns are made with nothing more than an x-acto knife and a straight-edge and they bring a little happiness wherever they go. show more
