about Copper & Torch

“One unique thing about glass is how clean it is – but I've learned the hard way to never walk around my studio with bare feet. Glass suddenly becomes a lot less pleasant when it's embedded in your foot.”

Not unlike the appeal of a classic Hitchcock film, Lindsay's glass creations are equal parts beauty and danger. Mostly beauty — the danger part typically comes from walking around her studio barefoot. The horror buff spends long days in said studio working on glass goods — accompanied by the best scary movies, of course. She solders away to create detailed jewelry and unique housewares, focused on how light and pigment will react with the glass. Her vintage-inspired jewelry pays homage to the past, while her geometric plant terrariums are a sturdy way to engage the future (and hold plants). show more
