Trade: Impressive Letterpressers
Locale: Georgetown, Seattle
"Once the ideas are designed, we take them through the awesome process of letterpress printing them by hand on our antique presses, Bill and Helga."
As advertising creatives who were spending more time talking stationery than actually making
ads, Jen and Lisa decided it might be time to reevaluate their careers. And after three moves and a coupla ancient printing presses (named Bill and Helga), they don't regret a thing. Expertly weaving together snark and sentiment, the duo cranks out colorful, letterpressed cards that are actually fun. The secret to their creativity? It's written on a 1-inch square piece of paper, locked up in a vault in the Netherlands. "Good luck finding it," they quip.
