"I was working before the transition from film to digital photography, so I love when I am able to incorporate both in my work. Where some people see a division between arts and the digital world, I see film, canvas and paint, computers, and the hot glue gun all as tools for the same goal: to create and be creative."

While studying at Watkins Art Institute in Nashville, Kim fell in love with the alternative process photography that the nostalgic among us might know as Polaroid film. Learning this artistic form of technology, all while the film became more rare and costly, Kim focused on making reproductions of her earlier work with the camera. Soon she was figuring out ways (hint: dye sublimation) to print images on things besides paper. show more
