Dapper Woodworker
San Diego, CA

“A few years ago I began trading my t-shirts in for neckties and accumulated quite the collection. I noticed the lack of wood tie bars available and set out the very next day on a mission to make one myself.”

Typically a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy, an invite to a school function – suit required – prompted Austin to venture into more refined attire. He quickly ditched the old band tees for ties, with a newfound appreciation for the formal section of the men's department. After accumulating quite the collection of neckwear, he sought to step up his look with a wood tie bar. Unable to find one readily available, the quick thinker made one himself. He uses this now patent-pending process to create sturdy accessories that keep neckwear from getting too unruly, lest you look anything less than formal.
