"One mediocre day I decided to make one as a gift –– I used crayons and chopped wax from old candles, with an empty pop tart box as a mold. The joy of combining wax and fragrance was all new to me."
Amber grew up in a house full of candles –– they were on
the grocery list. They're home to her. And though Amber always had a creative streak, it was boredom that drove her to experiment with crayons and leftover candles –– pouring 'em all into a pop-tart-box-turned-mold. Her inspiration for fragrances is quite clearly nature, music and trends of the 70s, and she spends a lot of time researching potential combinations. When a scent and name are finally approved, Amber wicks, labels and pours each and every one of them by hand, in her house. We'd say that counts as small-batch.< less
