"I really try to keep a traditional aesthetic to my digital work. If I'm creating a piece that looks like a pencil sketch or a painting, I am actually sitting there creating each tiny individual stroke by hand."
When Traci made the move closer to Pittsburgh, it was to study, with the hopes that she would eventually become a graphic designer. Which she did. But after years of staring at her computer, she began to grow tired of the corporate stuff, returning instead to her first love — drawing and illustrating. It wasn't so easy switching all the way back to the world of pencil and paper though; so Traci found a happy medium in digitally illustrating her designs. Even though her work's done with the help of technology, she likes to keep a traditional aesthetic to her illustrations — in fact, they still look like they were drawn or painted by hand. < less
