About Scoutmob

So, this is the part where we’re supposed to talk ourselves up. And we’ll get to that.

But really, Scoutmob began because of the locally-owned businesses we love: getting the opportunity to know these restaurants and shops, and having a chance to share their stories. We figured by giving other like-minded folks the incentive to scout these spots for themselves—to discover new favorites and rediscover old ones, to share the interesting happenings, places and people that we discover along the way,

that we – maybe, just maybe – could create a community of even better locals.

Thus, Scoutmob was born from a motley crew of local-curious writers, designers, and mobile geeks.

What? You want more?

Well, we all met in Atlanta back in 2009. Specifically, at the Westside's Octane Coffee, where quality caffeine, interesting people and glowing Macbooks abound. Many long nights and weekends were spent here and at our original underground office lair (no, really) creating something that speaks to a local community, but also—really and truly—to our own selves.
