50% Off Octane (Westside)
The scoop: It’s 50% off Westside’s hippest coffee house and lounge. The NY Times recently featured the growing Westside art scene and mentioned Octane as a place to not miss. Get your fill of french press, fair-trade coffees, eats, beers and wines at half price. It’s all part of today’s Scoutmob deal... which just happens to be at Scoutmob’s second office.
So let's take a little tour of Scoutmob’s second office space, shall we?
Located on your left is a friendly barista ready to take your order. Pay for your beverage, head to the counter and grab your personal french press platter. From there, make your way over to the lab tables filled with many a glowing Macbook. Veer left again for one of the comfy couches and some chatting friends, or head over and snag a solo stool next to the book-readers and brew-sippers. Here we are, folks: Scoutmob's secondary office... welcome to Octane’s art-filled, hipster-approved, coffee-quaffing digs.
Now take a look around and see if you can’t spot a Scoutmob-stickered laptop or two; depending on the hour, we’ll be the ones with a french press, a house salad with herbed tofu (lunch options go way beyond bakery items here), or maybe-just-maybe a goblet of Chimay. And that's just during the workday.
When the sun goes down, Octane also hosts some pretty popular coffee-flavored events; come for a “cupping” (the coffee equivalent of wine tasting) or their “Thursday Night Throwdown”, where competing baristas show off their skills in latte art. I’ve yet to attend one of these, so perhaps this Scoutmob deal could be the perfect chance to change up the usual Octane routine.... or maybe I'll just stay a few hours longer. Couldn’t hurt to get in some overtime, right?
Thanks for stopping by.
