Sounds like the script to a familiar episode of Seinfeld, but Souper Jenny is quite the polar opposite of the Soup Nazi. In fact, Jenny Levison has instead been dubbed the “the Soup Babe” -- and her staff is more likely to break into song than deny anyone their meal for taking too long to order.
And there’s a reason everyone here is so full of energy... it’s not just the good food. Every member of the front staff is also a professional actor/performer; even Jenny is part of their dinner theater, which currently is a “Dr. Seuss Goes to War” cabaret happening at the Breman Museum. If you can’t catch the Soup Singers on stage, then you should at least make it to one of their weekly dinners -- Home-Style Tuesdays (think Chicken Pot Pie) and their famous Grilled Cheese & S’mores Night. They’ve become pretty special events around here.
You’ll also be pleased to know that the crew is taking the lunch show on the road with their “Incredible Flying Soup Machine” (re: Mobile Soup Truck).
