TINY Bistro by Figs and Honey Catering
The Scoop: You know what they say about dynamite coming in small packages? Well, it's true. Just look at Speedy Gonzales, miniature cupcakes, and TINY Bistro, the most charming little sandwich shop on the Westside. TINY, with its mightily capitalized name, is tucked in a little nook on Marietta Street, right behind Octane. And though it may be a bit more petite than your average lunch joint, TINY's sandwiches, salads, and sides pack a tremendous amount of deliciousness.

Scout Notes: The wee little space is the home of Figs and Honey Catering, which has been an Atlanta favorite for ten years. It's also the home of some of the Westside's favorite sandwiches, which TINY serves up in their cheerful, four-table dining room or at the counter. Local favorites at the takeaway counter include the bistro's fried green tomato BLT, a croissant stuffed with pecan chicken salad, and a rich, melty turkey and brie panini. I was lucky enough to taste the latter, and let me tell you: it is most certainly an upgrade from whatever you brought to work for lunch. The way TINY gets that creamy brie to ooze over the warm pressed bread juuust right is delightful. Even with a half order, the sammies are by no means tiny. Be sure to order one of TINY's beloved sides – the broccoli salad is a hit, as well as the tofu and asparagus. It's hard to go wrong here, with a menu packed full of options that are both creative and down-to-earth.

That's why TINY's gathered a loyal pack of lunch-goers who long for something beyond a dry, boring PB&J. And with a pink floral dining area, a sunny outdoor seating area, and a buzzing lunch crowd, chances are it's much more enjoyable than dining al cubicle. Pop in every other Thursday for a particularly yummy experience, when TINY pairs up with neighborhood craft beer mavens Hop City for a round of beer and wine-tasting with a menu of small bites. Big flavors and big energy... nope, there's nothing tiny about this bistro. Small, yes, but certainly mighty.
