This shop might be brand-new, but once you sink yourself down into a vintage leather couch with a scoop of something sweet, you'll probably feel like it's been there since you were too little to reach the counter.Ice. Cream. When used together, these two words can reduce many a grown-up to a sugar-crazed, wild-eyed seven-year-old who can only be sated with a triple-chocolate sundae. It may have been a while since you were running around in a sailor suit with chocolate smeared from ear-to-ear, but there's no reason you can't recapture that feeling of pure, unbridled kid-bliss... and, if you have kids, pass that torch on to 'em. Mr. & Miss Einstein's, tucked under the Dynamic Metal Lofts, might be brand-new, but once you sink yourself down into a vintage leather couch with a scoop of something sweet, you'll probably feel like it's been there since you were too little to reach the counter, because this shop is as sweet as a peach pie sundae.
The chocolate and pink shop is filled with cheerful shabby-chic decor, comfy couches to sink into, and plenty of kid-friendly touches (you know, besides the actual ice cream). But you don't have to be a youngin' to appreciate Mr. & Miss Einstein's (hey, we all have an inner kid deep down inside). Yes, it's an ice cream shop, but not just any ice cream shop, where you pick your flavor and the game's over. Here, it's all about creativity -- a Choose Your Own Adventure of dessert, if you will. Choose your base: brownies, cake, pie, fruit, you name it... all blank canvases upon which to create your own sweet masterpiece with your choice of ice cream and toppings. If decision-making ain't your thang and you'd rather leave the desserts up to the pros, go with one of the concoctions that Mr. & Miss Einstein's has already dreamed up: perhaps a peach pie sundae, a frozen fresh fruit granita, or maybe just a big, healthy scoop of brownie vanilla ice cream. (Psst, caffeine aficionados: look no further than the Affogatto, which sweetens up your average joe by plopping a nice scoop of ice cream into French pressed coffee.) No matter which way you decide to treat yo'self, one thing is sure: this cozy little ice cream parlor is perfect for kids of all ages, no matter how long it's been since you lost your two front teeth.
