With 6 different pastas, 8 different sauces, 6 different meats and a slew of veggies, cheeses, and other toppings to choose from, these pasta dishes are endlessly customizable.Scout Notes: Fast, frugal, and fulfilling don’t always coincide when it comes to food. Sit-down restaurants offer delicious eats, but can drain your time and bankroll. Inexpensive fast food and microwave meals can satiate, but they rarely really satisfy. Herein lies the beauty of Marietta newcomer Twisted Kitchen: they’re serving up build-your-own dishes that are speedy, tasty, and affordable to boot.
As a fast-casual restaurant, Twisted Kitchen caters to those who want to eat well on the go. Upon entering, I noticed that much like Outkast, everything--from their kitchen to their expansive choice of ingredients--is so fresh and so clean. And because it’s all prepared on-site daily, nothing is stale or shoddy. While they offer salads and wraps, their emphasis is on everybody’s favorite food fuel: pasta. With 6 different pastas, 8 different sauces (including Italian and Asian- inspired flavors and a killer mac and cheese sauce), 6 different meats and a slew of veggies, cheeses, and other toppings to choose from, dishes are endlessly customizable. Better still, whether you choose a menu item or create your own unique pasta dish, everything cooks up in under 5 minutes. But don’t get it twisted: just because they excel at pasta doesn’t mean that’s all Twisted Kitchen is good for. Michael swore their made-from- scratch cookies were the best in the world, and just one bite confirmed it. Huge, soft, and heavy with gooey chocolate chips, it’s hard to imagine a sweeter, simpler conclusion to any meal.
