This snug cigar shop isn't here to sell you cigars, it's here to help you enjoy them. And with an inventory over 40,000? You'd best get started, son.
You know that classy saying: close, but no cigar? It might serve as an apt description for your attempts to avoid gridlock commutes, but Blue Havana II of Alpharetta can also relate. To the cigar part anyway—not so much the 'no' part. In fact, quite the opposite. Owner Jim described to us their point of pride in three simple words: Forty. Thousand. Cigars. Even if you're not one to light up, it's hard to hear a number like that and not whistle with surprise. Especially because this snug little cigar shop off Atlanta Highway is the epitome of unassuming. As in, you wouldn't assume that it holds one of the most extensive cigar inventories in Georgia. But it most certainly does. Standing in their jam-, er, cigar-packed 250 square foot humidor is awe-inspiring. You could spend awhile just gazing slack-jawed at all the tightly-packed beauts, offered in a range of prices.
For over six years, this little shop has been providing the smoking goods. And for those with less appreciative loved ones, there's also a very spacious, comfy lounge in the back. You'll often find a couple fellas back there, taking advantage of the free wifi, puffing and typing away. Jim nodded toward one gentleman, saying that he comes nearly every day to get his work done. And if you're not there to work, firstly: we approve. Secondly: you can also enjoy the large mounted screens or russle up a game of poker, if you've the hankering. Blue Havana is friendly and genuinely focused on customer service. No idea what you're doing? That's alright, just mosey on over to Jim, he's there to guide. As I left he confided, "We're not here to sell cigars. We're here to enjoy them." Looks like you'll need that smoking jacket after all.
