Don't let the wacky name fool you: the folks at this Caribbean eatery might have an affinity for puns, but when it comes to serving authentic, traditional food, they're dead-serious. Owner Brian picked up his cooking chops from the original culinary school: his grandma's kitchen, back home in Kingston, Jamaica. Nowadays, he's cooking from the family recipe book to feed Smyrna plate after plate of delicious, flavorful, and yes, sometimes spicy Caribbean cuisine. (Fear not: plenty of "mild" options abound for the faint of heart.)

From slow-stewed oxtails that fall off the bone to spicy-sweet jerk chicken, Brian's dishes are imbued with pungent, rich flavors redolent of traditional Jamaican ingredients: cloves, cinnamon and wallop-packing Scotch bonnet peppers, to name a few. From sweet plantains to earthy allspice-infused rice and peas, one heaping plate of the goods here is a cornucopia of flavors as diverse as the cuisine itself. And it's seriously delicious. We wish we could thank Brian's grandma ourselves for this goodness—but we suppose a second helping of those oxtails will just have to do.
