Unlike a typical Western karaoke bar, Karaoke Melody gives each group its own private room, meaning no long wait times, no sitting through that one girl's angsty attempt at Meredith Brooks and no embarrassing oneself in front of a crowd of strangers—though if you still need a little liquid courage delivered to your room, a cocktail or three is truly only a push of a button away. (Welcome to the rockstar life.) And should that sake, shochu or cocktail turn into several, it's good to know that Karaoke Melody's kitchen whips up munchies both American (chicken fingers) and beyond (Japanese calamari, dried squid and Pocky). Just a little somethin'-somethin' to keep us busy while we flip through that iPad full of 250,000 songs.
