Fueled not just by a love for sports but also for the fans themselves, Clay first set up shop back in the day when even Chipper Jones was new to the game. And after relocating to Acworth, his laid-back sports den is still a fan favorite.
Fast Eddie's has been slinging cold beer and hot-from-the-oven pizzas in Acworth for a little over a year, but this sports-lover's haven has actually been a fixture in the community since the last time the Braves were winning the World Series. (That'd be 1995, for those of you playing along at home.) Fueled not just by a love for sports but also for the fans, Clay Gallup first set up shop back in the day when even Chipper Jones was new to the game. And after relocating to Acworth last March, his laid-back sports den is still a fan favorite.

We know, we know: all too often, the phrase "sports bar" evokes thoughts of smoky, sticky-floored hangouts for rowdy fans. "We like to think of ourselves as a family-friendly sports cafe," Clay says. Translation: this is one of the few joints that's just as good for post-Little League pizzas as it is for cold beer and cheering on the Bravos or Falcons on game day. (Preferably while fueling your fandom with a big ol' plate of wings, a steaming Philly cheese steak, or something hot out of the pizza oven.) There's even a tearaway calendar counting down the days 'til football season on the wall. After all, few things soothe the soul like the winning combination of pizza, beer, camaraderie and Matt Ryan, and that's essentially what Fast Eddie's is all about. Sounds like a touchdown to us… and far superior to benchwarming it at home when Game Day arrives. Add those lemon pepper wings to the mix and, well, we're about ready to bust out our victory dance before the game even starts.
