These bowls, Lisa explained, are a mixture of frozen fruits, including antioxidant-packing acai berries, superfruit blends, strawberries and more. Think of it as a thicker, creamier smoothie—one that you eat with a spoon.Yes, we like this place a whole lot. We probably even love it. But the name, "Luv-A-Bowl" doesn't appeal so much to the cafe's lovability, as it does to its fans undying devotion to the smoothies and acai bowls. As owner Lisa explained, "We wanted to educate our customers on the benefits of antioxidants as well as give them a delicious option for eating healthier." And inside this cheerful little Johns Creek shop, they've been doing just that for the past year, making fans with every whir of the blender. When we stopped by, a man ordered a smoothie for the first time, took a sip and exclaimed with a grin, "Good Lord, what have I been missin' all my life?" We told you, people like this place. Nope, they love it.
The bowls, Lisa explained, are a mixture of frozen fruits, including acai berries, superfruit blends and strawberries. Think of it as a thicker, creamier smoothie; one that you eat with a spoon. Atop the frozen treat, which is crafted sans additives, sugar or dairy, these folks pile hemp granola, shredded coconut and drizzles of honey. A crowd favorite, the Johns Creek Bowl, is also made with almond milk and pineapple. And though the bowls, from peanut butter to chocolate to Limealicious are the main event, Luv-A-Bowl can blend up a mighty fine smoothie, too, as noted. We tried the Berry Blast, which tasted fresh and fruity, but not overly sweet. Love is a divine thing.
