Lahore Grill

50% off Lahore Grill
Most of the food at Lahore Grill is North Indian in nature, a characteristic, Dar explained, that accounts for their wide and varied use of meat. You'll hear no complaints from us on that. Bring on the Mutton Biryani.
While finding an Indian restaurant in Atlanta might not be the most difficult of tasks, finding a good one is certainly up there. But since 2008, nestled right off a busy thoroughfare in Marietta, Lahore Grill has been doing just that — being great, that is. The Indo-Pak joint, is run by brothers Dar and Chef Azmat, who both hail from the Pakistani city that the restaurant is named for. (Lahore, not Grill.) Inside, there's a large open area with plenty of tables, a popular lunch buffet and traditional, floor-cushion seating, which we wouldn't be surprised to learn is even more popular than said buffet.

Most of the food at Lahore Grill is North Indian in nature, a characteristic, Dar explained, that accounts for their wide and varied use of meat (not a bad thing, by any means). Yes, among fresh-baked naan and creamy mango lassi, we also found ourselves drooling exorbitantly over things like Goat Paya — a dish that takes 4 to 5 hours to prepare — and the Lamb Chop Tikka. All of the meat used in the place is 100 percent halal zabihah, and most things, especially the tandoori dishes, are cooked to order. This means that, although the food is consistently delicious, the Butter Chicken actually tastes entirely different than the Chicken Tikka Masala and, well, that makes us rather excited. Consider that "good" Indian place found.

Lamb Chop Tikka, $11.99
Goat Paya, $7.99
