And boy did they deliver. The Rotisserie Shop has spent the past three months earning their reputation as the go-to spot for a finger-licking lunch in Kennesaw. And with good reason, their sandwich menu is truly a force to be reckoned with. Rotisserie's Phillys are piled-high with shaved rib-eye, not your traditional top round fodder. (The mere mention of it has our mouths watering.) Their Italian Pork Panini, another favorite, is made with twelve-hour roasted pork, sharp provolone cheese, roasted garlic aioli, olive oil poached tomatoes and broccoli rabei all served up on a grilled baguette. It's the kind of stuff that makes bagged lunches a thing of the past.
With such boundless success in the midday market, The Rotisserie Shop decided to expand their menu to include dinner fare. And now that they've added beer and wine to the mix, there's nothing that could keep us away. We're big fans of their Georgia Shrimp and Stone Ground Grits – sizzling seared shrimp and crispy andouille sausage covered in a roasted tomato butter sauce in a bed of creamy, stone-ground cheese grits. But of course, the real reason for the season at The Rotisserie Shop is the chicken. Available in quarters or halved, the free-range meat has been rotated on a spit until it's been cooked to succulent, steaming perfection. Accompanied by a wide variety of home-made sauces (including everything from classics like Buttermilk Ranch and Tupelo Honey Mustard to the fiery Piri Piri Pepper Sauce), The Rotisserie Shop offers up the kind of home-cooked meal you're sure to write home about.
