This East Cobb mainstay's been quelling hankerings for massaman, miso soup, and everything in between for the past 13 years. The never-ending quest to find a restaurant suitable for simultaneously slaking our cravings for hot, spicy Thai curries and fresh, raw sushi is one that often ends in disappointment, tears, lukewarm buffet tables or some combination thereof. But lo, a shred of hope for those of us who answer the "Thai or sushi?" question with a resounding "yes!" — Fuji Hana, an East Cobb mainstay that's been quelling hankerings for massaman, miso soup, and everything in between for the past 13 years.
Together, Fuji Hana's kitchen and sushi bar manage to pull off the elusive balancing act of pan-Asian cuisine: tricky to nail, but when done properly, a sheer gastronomic blessing for those of us who find it impossible to choose between spicy Thai curries, fresh Japanese sushi and piping-hot hibachi dishes. Thus, an eclectic but approachable menu where one can a. devour drunken noodles, b. have a hibachi feast and/or c. sup on sushi, depending on what strikes your tastebuds' fancy. Us? After nibbling on a sampling of all of the above from Fuji Hana's kitchen, we're inclined to go with option d. all of the above.
