If we've grown to love one thing about Condesa, it's that the only thing that rivals their ambience is their love of craft. Be it coffee or liquor – the staff's chemist-like nerd love for all things beverage is what sets them apart from the rest. After three years on the corner of Freedom Parkway and Boulevard, Condesa Coffee has established itself as a bit of an oasis in good ol' Gate City. We've taken many a stroll down Freedom Trail to the comfortable and cozy retreat just to bask in the glory of their view of the city – and the traffic we're not missing. Their regular crowd? An eclectic mix of students, doctors, neighbors and coffee enthusiasts alike – who are either quietly working their daily grind, enjoying quiet conversation or savoring their expertly pulled espressos. If we've grown to love one thing about Condesa, it's that the only thing that rivals their ambience is their love of craft. Be it coffee or liquor – the staff's chemist-like nerd love for all things beverage is what sets them apart from the rest.
Whether you're craving an masterfully-crafted cappuccino or a top-notch libation – Condesa is a perfect destination for those hoping to stop in for a drink, a small plate or two and revel in the calm, sane respite from the usual bar scenery. Their space, with warm reclaimed woods and ample open seating, is the ideal place to cozy up with a David Ames (a custom cocktail of theirs – a faultless combination of iced coffee, vodka, vanilla syrup and nutmeg) late into the evening. Their revamped small plates menu is a collection of unique fare that aims to please: a sweet potato sandwich with vegetable chips, a skillfully portioned cheese plate, a toasted sesame bagel topped with cream cheese or a helping of delicate french macarons. Stay through the evening and make the transition from shot of espresso to shot of liqueur – their baristas are keen to prove just how adept are with a muddler and jigger as they are with a tamper and steaming wand. We're much obliged to put their skill to use.
