With nary a speck of gluten in the place and plenty of vegan options to boot, Sharonda and her team work hard (with the best gluten-free flour she can get her hands on, we might add) to whip up a delicious lunch that anyone can enjoy.Whether those living a gluten-free lifestyle are doing it by choice or because of doctor's orders, finding good grub sans gluten while out on the town can seem like more trouble (and salad) than it's worth. But at Good Karma Coffee, they're serving up delicious sandwiches, soups, and more lunchtime eats that truly everyone can enjoy. Who would have ever thought we could order a sandwich called "The Italian" that would have absolutely no wheat involved? We certainly didn't. And we reckon their egg salad would even reform Paula Deen's eating habits, if she had a taste.
With nary a speck of gluten in the place and plenty of vegan options to boot, Sharonda and her team work hard (with the best gluten-free flour she can get her hands on, we might add) to whip up a delicious lunch that anyone can enjoy. And the aforementioned sandwiches are becoming quite the sensation in Avondale since they were introduced to the menu a month ago – and for good reason! Plus, Good Karma whips up freshly made, inventive (and vegan friendly) soups for their patrons regularly. With flavors such as tomato coconut and curried lentil, we're liable to cozy up around a bowl or a cup of the good stuff any day of the week. Turns out they do exist: alternative baked goods and sandwiches that somehow don't, er, taste "alternative." That's something we can all (gladly) agree on.
