It makes perfect sense for this easygoing little restaurant to hop the interstate and head northbound to Holcomb Bridge, where many a family takes weeknight refuge in the restaurant's appeasing selection of pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and more. While we have no problem treating ourselves to a lavish Italian meal every blue moon or so, we generally find ourselves enjoying menus slightly more accessible than, say, $18 antipasti dishes. That's why Little Azio has become such an easy go-to option for so many Atlantans, Norcrossians and beyond. And that's why it makes perfect sense for this easygoing little restaurant to hop the interstate and head northbound to Holcomb Bridge, where many a family takes weeknight refuge in the restaurant's appeasing selection of pizzas, pastas, panini, salads, sandwiches and more. While we've never had the pleasure of juggling bread, olive oil and toddlers all with one hand, we can imagine this Little Azio location has to be the easiest place to accomplish that "family night out" feat, thanks to the kid-friendly menu and the in-booth televisions. Even better than a television? The infernally hot, can't-look-away brick pizza oven in the restaurant, which manager Britt says is prime seating for the kiddos (or the easily distracted). Watching the pizza man work his fire-magic is apparently that much more fascinating than Spongebob Squarepants, but then again, we knew that already.
Plus, unlike many family restaurants, the kids menu doesn't deviate that much from the regular menu (i.e., nary a PB&J is found on it). Yup, Little Azio has plenty of fresh, tasty Italian options for them and us grown-ups. And speaking of us grown-ups, check out the bright, fresh seasonal strawberry salad, the hearty bowls of Rustica pasta and a slice pie of colorful Napolitano pizza. Actually wait let's make that a whole pie. It's just too good to pass up.
