Villagio's Italian-inspired menu is still ripe with the classics we've grown to know and love 'em for (pizzas, pastas and then some), but now that they've introduced tapas to the mix? We're bona fide devotees. This may come as a surprise to many, but did you know that not all tapas joints serve up their victuals in snooty, la-di-da atmospheres? (We were surprised too.) Leave it to Decatur to offer up a charming, cozy little hideaway for us to feast on our small plates and sip on a perfectly paired wine. We may have come to know and love Villagio for their Italian eats – crispy, cheesy margherita pizzas, savory and filling Toscana Lamb stews, sweet and delightful butternut squash raviolis – but now that they’re throwing traditional tapas in the mix, we’re bona fide devotees.
Rest assured, those Italian staples they used to woo us will still be featured on the menu, but there will also be a host of other European fare to sample. Looking for your veggie fix? Their Legumes and Picante Eggplant Stew may just be the perfect thing for you. If you’re feeling carnivorous though, we’d like to draw your attention to the Chorizo Mango Fig Chutney, which is a dream-team flavor combination of sweet and savory delights. Villagio also boasts a healthy variety of meats and cheeses for us to nosh on. Yup, pair it with one of the numerous varieties of wine they've got in stock and you’ve got yourself a recipe for a perfectly delightful evening.
