Who's Behind All of This?
That would be our Local Scouts. These fine folks are Scoutmob-approved storytellers, socialites, and fellow citizens. They're just like you, only they come standard with a camera, laptop and an incessant need to share their view of this city with anyone who'll feign interest. If you happen to see them wandering about town, kindly reach out for a high-five. After all, it's the neighborly thing to do.
Liza Dunning
Roughly 92.3% of Liza's lifetime has been spent in Atlanta looking under rocks, frequenting seedy bars, befriending all characters roaming along Ponce... then documenting every awesome detail of it. Besides lending her voice to the creation of Scoutmob, her greatest Atlanta-chievement has been her appearance in a Google image search of "Clermont, Blondie"... just after the can-crushing legend herself.
Gray Chapman
Gray has been an Atlantan for longer than the lifespan of an average opossum. She enjoys taking adventurous joyrides up Buford Highway, living in the city's best 'hood (Cabbagetown), and wishing to one day ride the beluga whales at the aquarium. In terms of local eating, she can most certainly put away the groceries.
Tami Hardeman
When her childhood dreams of becoming a Solid Gold Dancer didn’t pan out, Tami became a writer-turned-food stylist, photographer, and renowned blogger. Not a bad Plan B. Her life as she knows it was founded on a pink rubber eraser called "The Wiener Leaner."
Chloe Morris
Chloe lives by the eating motto, “Food you have to re-heat is just plain wrong.” She’s known to eat several lunches and dinners in a day and has been taking pictures of said food since age 12. We dare you to find someone who knows more about the unheralded awesomeness of Atlanta’s lesser-known foodie destinations.
Jason Parker
Photographer, sci-fi fan, curious Atlantan, and documentarian of the Atlanta arts community, Jason treats every day here like he’s in a foreign country. ArtRelish gives Atlanta a little extra visual arts sauce with interviews, event coverage, and news. As he sees it, this city’s art scene is worth discovering all over again for the first time, every time.
PurgeATL
This collective of local photographers and writers is all about revealing the glowing underbelly of Atlanta, from arts and culinary endeavors to nightlife and entertainment, and just about anything “non-traditional” that makes this city worth loving. Which we think makes PURGE pretty love-worthy, too.
Burnaway
Founded in 2008, Burnaway is our city’s go-to source for artistic dialog. This collective of artists, critics and commentators gets Atlanta’s arts community talkin’ with their weekly reviews, columns, interviews, and podcasts.
Broderick Smylie
Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, Broderick knew he'd become a Southerner when he started willingly adding strawberry jam to breakfast egg biscuits and storing bacon fat in the fridge. He can usually be found with a tasty morsel in one hand and a camera in the other, with a cocktail on the side.
Elizabeth & Lilly
Founded by Elizabeth Stice and Lilly Lampe, Out There Atlanta is a weekly podcast covering food, culture, events, and people about town. From the swamp to the city, there's no place they won't go for the story.
