When you're out on the town, wandering the streets of Atlanta, and taking in the sights and sounds of our city, which would you rather see: this, or this? All y'all in the crowd who prefer their cityscape with a side of creativity, color, and culture, open your hearts and loosen your purse strings, because we want to help Possible Futures make it rain on Living Walls.
Living Walls started slinging paint as a street art conference back in 2010, and has since grown into a full-fledged non-profit with fancy paperwork, year-round programming, and a tip o' the hat from the City of Atlanta Urban Design Commission. Not too shabby for being just shy of two years in the works. And what better crown jewel than ten stacks of high society in shiny grant funding? Possible Futures, a foundation that supports the best of Atlanta's artistic endeavors (including our pals at Burnaway), announced last week a match grant for Living Walls' 2012 conference, wherein each and every nickel donated to LW by folks like you and me will be matched up to $10,000.
And it all comes just in time for the 2012 conference, the first all-female street art conference in the world, when 28 artists from around the world will alight upon the red brick and grey concrete of Atlanta and work their artistic wizardry. So, if you like seeing things like this when you're milling about town, make a donation here.
