When it comes to Southern BBQ, there are some solid arguments on what could be considered best. But since we're BBQ lovers (not fighters), we can only agree that we all have our favorites for different reasons... and we all love to get a fix of that smokey, savory down-home flavor. Last week we asked you:
WHAT SAY YOU: BEST BBQ IN ATLANTA?
OUR SCOUT SAYS:
“When we're going for the real deal, nothing beats the atmosphere at Daddy D'z, where Mac-n-cheese is considered a vegetable, the BBQ pork plate is out of this world, and it's all happening in a handpainted wooden shack. Of course, Fox Bros. can't be beat in its own right... especially when we're talking ribs or their signature smoked Buffalo Wings.”
YOU SAYS:
“Rib Shack, SW Atlanta...although you may have to wait 3 hrs...literally.”
-James 'Jay' Bailey
“Euclid Avenue Yacht Club. Seriously.”
- Jennifer Belgard
“Swallow at the Hollow!!”
- Angela Frechette
“Rolling Bones & Fat Matt's Rib Shack...can't decide. I love both.”
- Randy Pierre
“Daddy D'z for sure!“
- Tanya Johnson
“Fast! Fox Bros. I need some ribs. NOW.”
- Sam Notso
“Fox Bros.”
- Meredith Everett
“Fox Bros. for sure.”
- Daniel Holmes

- Frankie Harney Yancey
“Really love D.B.A. in the highlands.”
-Jessica Wals
“Harold's!”
- Shan Denney Willoughby
“Daddy D'z. It helped seal the deal for me agreeing to move to Atlanta with my hubby. Second would be the ribs the hubby smokes at home. Nom!”
- Gayle S Wilson
“Williamson Bros BBQ, even though it's in Marietta, it's way better than anything in town... however, on Peachtree Industrial there is an old brick pit BBQ, which is the closest to Carolina I have ever gotten in Atlanta. Plus, it's super tiny, nothing fancy, so you know it's good BBQ.”
- Ivey Taylor
“Rolling Bones”
-Mayte Vinces Peck
“Brick Pit.”
- Jenifer Shockley
“As a former Memphis resident, I can only say that for Atlanta, Fox Bros. is pretty good, but I haven't tried many other places around here. I am making my list now thanks to you guys though!”
- Brett Beeman
“There's a little place over near East Lake. The food is incredible, and cheap. And I don't want to spoil the secret, so I'm not sharing. I wanna keep it just the way it is.”
- Adam Waterson
“Maddy's Decatur served up best ribs.”
- Vanessa Martinez
“Daddy D'z”
- Blake Coleman
"BBQ1 in Marietta”
- Kimberly Meador
“Concessions - it's really good. I'm from Memphis, so I know a thing about good BBQ!”
- Gregory Cox Baileys
“1. Fox Bros, 2. Fatt Matt's, 3. Daddy D'z. Have yet to try Rolling Bones or Swallow at the Hollow.”
- Don Richards-Boeff
