What to Do This Weekend, September 10-12

You spent last weekend laboring over how to make the most out of your Labor Day. So this weekend, why don’t you just let us do the fun-time agenda planning? I mean, after all, we’ve gotten pretty good at it by now.

WE DON’T WANT TO MISS:

FASHION NIGHT OUT
Friday, September 10
One night last September, in New York City and twelve other cities around the world, designers, celebrities, models, and fashion editors brought together some exciting in-store, after-hour events for the public. Retailers got new shoppers, shoppers got to party while they shopped. And this year, FNO is coming to Atlanta along with NYC. Over 50 stores city-wide will participate in the fashion-stravaganza.

80s PROM: BETTIES AND BEAU HUNKS
Saturday, September 11, 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Grab your puffy taffeta sleeves and your tuxedo t-shirt, it’s time for prom! Imagine It! of The Children’s Museum of Atlanta is putting on its annual fundraiser and, this year, it’s your chance to relive your favorite high school bash circa 1986. Food, drinks, cheesy prom photo (pictured) with you and your big-haired date, plus music from the 80s-tastic cover band Radio Cult.

ONE LOVE GENERATION’S HYPNOTIST FUNDRAISER
Friday, September 10, doors at 6 p.m.
Comedian & hypnotist, Mark Irish, hosts a knee-slapping show full of your favorite Atlantans. Point and laugh hysterically as you witness local personalities be persuaded into Martian dances and Macarenas. Eddie Owen of Eddie's Attic, Holly Firfer of CNN, J. Winter (Mayor of Ponce from Creative Loafing), Trey Humphreys of Fur Bus, A Social Mess & Pool Hall and plenty of other recognizable local names will be putting their egos aside, and giving into the mercy of hypnotism... all in the name of positive social change with One Love.
