From Indian-inspired breakfast pastries to Szechuan dumplings, there's a dizzying array of new and shiny coming straight for our collective gullets in 2014. A quick glance at the line-up of new kids on the block moving in this coming year has us swiftly abandoning any notions of a New Year's resolution, and making plans instead to give 'em a proper Atlanta welcome. Below, a few of the Atlanta restaurant openings on the horizon that have us giddy with anticipation:

Staplehouse. We've been following Jen and Ryan Hidinger ever since we first set foot in one of their Prelude to Staplehouse dinners. Now, after months of hardship, trial, tribulation, and an army of community support, the real-deal Staplehouse will finally come to life this year on Edgewood. This is the house that Atlanta built, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome it.

Spice to Table. It's no secret we've been smitten with just about everything Asha Gomez does, and have been since the early days of Spice Route Supper Club. Now, as Cardamom Hill continues to thrive, the Kerala native chef is taking on her second brick-and-mortar: Spice to Table, an Indian breakfast and lunch concept inside Studioplex that also will include an open-air market. You had us at "appam muffins and chai," Ms. Gomez.

Big Sky Buckhead. Last year's news of Pura Vida closing its doors nearly reduced us to tears. But lo, a shred of hope on the horizon: Hector Santiago, who once helmed Pura Vida's kitchen (and slung excellent burritos at Super Pan), will be involved in a new Buckhead project reported to be inspired by "Santiago's roots" (with a dash of Super Pan homage-paying, to boot). Eater even teased us with reports of a pork belly bun comeback. Our crystal ball foresees many a lunch in Buckhead next year.

Victory's new Inman Park digs. We still shed a small tear when passing by the bulldozed lot on Elizabeth Street that was once home to a small but mighty cluster of local mainstays like Dad's Garage, At The Collective, and Victory. Never ones to let silly things like condo developments get in their way of offering Inman Park great food, ping-pong and excellent frozen Jack 'n Cokes, Victory is making a heralded comeback by settling into the former Park's Edge space up on the hill on Bernina.

Lusca. Few people in this town know their way around a raw bar like the bromantic power-duo of Angus Brown and Nhan Le, who continue to blow Atlanta's collective mind in the kitchen of late-night EAV hangout Octopus Bar. Thus, it was a pretty great day for Atlanta when word got out that the two were working on a second restaurant that would focus heavily on raw seafood (and named after a mythical sea-beast, no less). Ladies and gentlemen, sharpen your shuckin' knives.

Pretty Much Everything in the Krog Street Market. It's hard to prioritize exactly which of the all-star local restaurants we're most excited to see set up shop in this Inman Park development. Could it be Ford Fry's taqueria? The Spotted Trotter's restaurant? A new outpost for seminal Buford Highway favorites, Gu's Bistro? The correct answer: all of it. The sheer amount of culinary goodness going into this project has us this close to hopping on our bicycles and circling the place 'til it opens (which, reportedly, should be happening in March). Dulce de leche pastries are about to be merely a Beltline bike ride away.
