The Boulevard Tunnel (Old Fourth Ward)

Living Walls and the Boulevard Tunnel Initiative are joining forces for ten days of projections, installations, parties and markets. Throughout the ten days, artist Momo will be putting his unique, linear twist on the beloved neighborhood-linking tunnel (with the assistance of some dedicated ATL volunteers).

This go-round, the crew will be addressing three topics that may or may not have been plaguing your subconscious: who would win in an arm wrestling competition – Robocop or the T1000? Sealions, NE-HI and 100 Watt Horse

After a bit of a hiatus, Sealions will be taking to the stage of 529 for an evening of electric, dancy bliss. Also performing? Indie rockers NE-HI have come down all the way from Chicago to accompany them, and the spacey, frenetic sounds of 100 Watt Horse will be there to kick things off.

Candler Park Earth Day Play Day & Movie Night

Candler Park, 1500 McLendon Ave.

Put down that Super Nintendo controller and go play outside. In celebration of Earth Day, Atlanta ContactPoint (a nonprofit working to provide neighborhoods with indoor and outdoor recreation facilities) hosts a field day-esque neighborhood playday, complete with rugby, soccer, yoga, flag football and – a giant rolling earth ball. Spring has sprung and the Lawrence is newly bedecked and ready to celebrate. Come christen their new patio at a bona fide tiki party complete with live Hawaiian music, a Filipino pig roast and custom tiki cocktails whipped up by Eric Simpkins and company.
