Sometimes taking on a vegan lifestyle seems like such a daunting task. Luckily Atlanta has spots to satiate even the strictest of vegan sweet tooths. You may have to give up milk, but thankfully not dessert. Decadent desserts without milk, eggs, and no butter? They exist! Satisfy your sweet tooth at these vegan-friendly bakeries and restaurants. (Hey, even these cookies taste great dumped in milk almond milk.)

Dulce Vegan Bakery
Dulce Vegan Bakery offers specialty cakes with interesting flavors, including Orange Cardamom, Chocolate Caramel Pecan and Lemon Raspberry. They also offer baked goods that are gluten-free, nut-free and soy-free. (All of which are mighty delicious and made with organic and local ingredients.)

Soul Vegetarian No. 2
Aside from their hefty menu full of vegetarian and vegan options, Soul Vegetarian No. 2 offers the Dream Kream, delicious dairy-free ice cream in 5 different flavors. Grab two scoops of Vanilla Pecan (okay... maybe a pint) to take home. Your sweet tooth will rejoice. Pro-tip: This stuff makes for a dreamy shake or sundae too.

La Calavera Bakery
This Decatur bakery is incredibly popular these days. We blame it on their vast array of organic breads and pastries, most of which also happen to be gluten-free and made with organic ingredients. But they also offer vegan variations of their usual Mexican pastry fare, including their vegan sticky buns.

R. Thomas Deluxe Grill
For our night owl vegans – not only is R. Thomas is an Atlanta institution… it’s open 24 hours! At last, we can satiate even our late-night cravings. The restaurant is amazingly vegetarian and vegan-friendly. Their desserts are gluten-free and our favorite pick is the Vegan Cake Special. (Although the Raw Apple Pie has stolen our hearts too.)

Southern Sweets Bakery
Southern Sweets Bakery is famous for their multi-tier wedding cakes, but you should stop by for their vegan desserts like the rustic cherry pie, german chocolate cake, or red velvet cake. You won’t even remember that you’re eating a vegan treat.

In a hurry? Try Sevananda’s bakery for cookies, cake and the oh-so-delicious vegan oreo cheesecake.
