Not only are Vintage Heart's beverages cute and tasty, but the whole darn place feels like you stepped into your grandmother's reading room.

Not only are the beverages cute and tasty, but the whole darn place feels like you stepped into your grandmother's reading room (if your g-ma had wireless Internet and several outlets for laptops in her reading room). With her bare hands (and the bare hands of others), owner Mallory Alison physically transformed a forgotten East 7th Street building into a "modern vintage" coffee paradise, equipped with locally-made artwork, antique photos and delicious beverages and baked goods that will appease the appetite for both hunger and design aesthetic.



When items aren't made in-house, Mallory makes sure to stock up locally. Even the dishware is local! Vintage Heart proudly features coffee from Austin businesses such as Third Coast Roasting Company, vegans donuts from acclaimed Red Rabbit Cooperative Bakery and hot and iced tea from Zhi Tea. Everything tastes fresh and unique at Vintage Heart, but must-tries include the Iced Latte sweetened with homemade vanilla or cinnamon syrup, or the spicy Chai Latte. Not only does Mallory believe in keeping it homemade or local, she also believes in keeping waste to a minimum. At Vintage Heart you won't find any paper goods—only recycled glassware for cups and fabrics for napkins!
