But just because we're all adults now doesn't mean we can't get our ice cream freak on in a social manner. Luckily for us, plain ol' ice cream bars and sandwiches have been upgraded to homemade exotic sundaes, splits and floats. The Ice Cream Social, located in the Barton Springs area, features unique ice cream flavors such as Salted Caramel and Peanut Butter Mole and ante-upping toppings like fried sweet plantains and chocolate dipped bacon. Yes, bacon. With chocolate.

Opened by brother and sister team Lee and Meredith Dockery, the duo strives to bring the soda fountains we all know and love to the Austin trailer scene. But chances are you haven't tried anything like what they offer on their menu.
