Cafes, Coffee & Tea
With each cup at Render Coffee brewed to order using Counter Culture grounds, the freshness of each robust, aromatic cup simply can’t be matched by the drip stuff hawked at other cafes and big-name brew corps.Render owner Chris Dadey brought the pour-over coffee movement to Boston. You might be asking yourself, is there a pour-over coffee movement in Boston? Well, let me assure you, there is now. With each cup brewed to order using Counter Culture grounds, the freshness of each robust, aromatic cup simply can’t be matched by the drip stuff hawked at other cafes and big-name brew corps. You see, a cup of Joe can lose flavor in as little as five minuteskeep it in a pot for an hour and what you’re left with is flat, stale tasting sludge.
Chris says he was inspired by coffee culture in Europe, and he puts a high premium on sourcing organic, directly traded beans. So his selection changes from week to week as new crops come in from the roaster, from regions like Guatemala, El Salvador, Ethiopia, and Kenya. In keeping up with other trendssay, the locavore movementhe also makes sure milk and produce come from nearby farmers who focus on sustainability. Throw in the baked goods from bread messiah Iggy’s, and we could hang here all day.
