Because there's more than one way to drink coffee—there's four. Get it all the ways at this spacious and inviting Lincoln street coffee shop.Imagine a world where sitting down to enjoy a lovingly brewed cup of coffee didn't mean being crammed elbow-to-elbow with pretentious scenesters, or where pulling out a laptop to catch up on some work didn't involve jockeying for outlets or table space in an uncomfortably crammed cafe. Such a haven exists (and right downtown, no less) at Drip, a coffeehouse smitten with the crazy notion that comfort, quality and a lack of snobbishness have an important spot in the world of high-caliber brewing.
When we walked into Drip we were pleased to find plenty of tables and a private loft, where we could imagine both sippin' in quietude and meeting up to handle some biz-nass. Sure, we could've gone to our local Soulless Corporate Coffee Emporium, but we prefer something (our coffee) and somebody (our barista) with a little personality. At Drip, we found both. The friendly people behind the counter gladly walked us through the more exciting ways to craft our cuppa. In addition to classics like slow drip and French press, there's the slow pour or, for the most unique experience, the Aeropress, which uses microfiltration, air pressure and a sexy plunger to press a single, beautiful cup of coffee. Even more awesome, all of the beans and roasts at Drip are locally sourced, as are the fresh baked goods in the deli case. Work dates (and, well, dates with ourselves) have never been so sweet.
