The Scoop: Shopping on a Nashville-style budget is not always easy. Most of us here make our livings, um, creatively, so we don’t fill up our wallets quite like a typical 9-5er. Greeted with a “Hey, Girl!” as I walked in the one- room shop nestled in the new 5 Points Collective Idea Hatchery in East Nashville, I instantly felt like I was with friends. And that’s just what the ladies behind Goodbuy Girls want to create—a fun place to stock your closet with affordable fashion. College pals Tanya and Kim opened up shop two years ago after deciding the corporate world had stolen enough of their lives. Dressing their friends for singing events was already a part of their creative repertoire, so opening a clothing store was a natural step to take.

While their dresses, tops and trove of locally made accessories are enough to weaken my knees, Goodbuy Girls is famous for their walls lined with vintage boots. Baby blue, white, stripped or classic brown, you’ll no doubt find a boot that fits your personal style. And if you don’t, just come back tomorrow. Goodbuy Girls restocks everyday with new merchandise.
