Restaurant decision-making can be tough. But lucky for you, Flyte World Dining and Wine offers food and beverage tasting “flytes” of three for those days when you can’t be asked to choose just one.In case you haven’t caught on, us Scoutmobsters really love great, local food. But to us, there’s no out-of-this-world menu that can make a super-buttoned-up dining atmosphere appealing. In fact, we’re firm believers that nothing can ruin a great menu faster, which probably explains why we like Flyte World Dining and Wine so much. Somehow, this gem of a fine-dining establishment manages to feel both upscale and relaxed all at once. Even cooler? Flyte World Dining and Wine offers food and beverage tasting “flytes” of three for those days when you just can’t be asked to make a decision.
Co-owners Scott Sears (Sears serves as the restaurant’s wine director) and Scott Atkinson opened Flyte in 2006 with the goal of bringing a more adventurous dining experience to Nashville residents. Located in the 8th Avenue South and Division Street area, Flyte World Dining and Wine offers an extensive—but carefully curated—beer and wine list (over 100 wines available by the glass) as well as a creative menu (Executive Chef Matthew Lackey prides himself on using local and sustainable ingredients) that together create one of the most unique dining experiences available in Nashville.
