Nashville Sounds with the San Diego Chicken
Herschel Greer Stadium, 534 Chesnut St
Next month, the Nashville Sounds will play their final ballgame at Greer Stadium. We've never been good at goodbyes… but we do know that hanging out with the San Diego Chicken at Thursday night's game will help lighten the mood. Expect plenty of slapstick comedy and fowl-fueled frivolity from the big-sized bird, who's been called the most famous mascot in modern-day sports.

At Nashville Shores, the drive-in movies are projected onto an inflatable screen beside the wavepool, with Percy Priest Lake serving as a backdrop. Yes, please! This week's feature: Despicable Me.

Music City Open Water Swim
Riverfront Park, 100 1st Ave N.
Sometimes, after a long night of honky-tonk-hopping on Lower Broadway, we feel the undeniable urge to take a flying leap into the Cumberland River and backstroke our way to East Nashville. This weekend, we'll finally get to take that well-deserved dip, thanks to an open-water swim hosted by the Nashville Dolphins. Profits go toward the Dolphins, a swimming program for kids and adults with intellectual disabilities.
