Before Iron Chef America was a thing, Iron Sushi was a producing top-notch sushi and Japanese fare all over Manhattan. Hit up its specialty mixed tuna roll for a taste explosion from the Land of the Rising Sun.Before Iron Chef America started making waves on our shores, there was Iron Sushi, quietly making waves in Manhattan. Not necessarily a chain, but definitely successful enough to host multiple locations, Iron Sushi has been deliciously rolling out top-notch sushi and Japanese fare for the past 13 years. From specialty bento boxes to a mouth-tingling Spicy Seafood Soup, there's a long list of classics from the Land of the Rising Sun. But let's be honest, we've come for the sushi. And you'd be right to do so, too. With just its Regular & Classic rolls, there are 25-plus options of seaweed wrapped happiness. Regardless of protein preference, we think everyone should always opt for one of the signature rolls, like the New Orleans (spicy crawfish, avocado, wasabi tobiko and eel sauce) or the Iron Sushi Roll (mixed tuna, salmon, yellow tail, spicy mayo and avocado). Our favorite, though? The Beat Box Roll (white fish tempura); it's as fun to say as it is to eat.
