Give us a house-infused cocktail and plush bar stool and you have us for life. And we're not alone at Giorgio's, where delicious and affordable fare (think lobster mac 'n cheese and caramelized scallops) and good libations rule.Despite New York being a constantly rotating list of new bars and restaurants, there are those few establishments that actually manage to stick around longer than a New York minute. Just turn to Giorgio's of Gramercy as a shining example. This place has been plating up contemporary American fare with French and Italian twists to a clientele that has been coming back every week for the past 21 years. In fact, during a recent chat with the owner (not named Giorgio, so don't ask for him) and general manager, customers were name checked as if they were family.
And quite frankly, why wouldn't you come back? With a menu that boasts caramelized sea scallops with cauliflower fondue and florets, penne pasta with a creamy veal bolognese and lobster mac 'n cheese, we kinda didn't even want to leave. And to boozily sweeten the deal, the bar up front boasts a rotating menu of house-infused, small batch liquors that make for some of the best seasonal dranks in town. Turns out, all you need to make us a regular is a Peach & Tea infused bourbon and a plush bar stool.
