One of the shiniest emerald stars on the affectionately entitled "Irish Pub Way" is Feile, an expansive, bi-level bar that has welcomed us with open arms on more than one occasion.
Midtown. Not the most desirable address in Manhattan. But if you look hard enough you can find something redeemable in just about everything. Example: the little known stretch of street affectionately known as Irish Pub Way that runs for roughly five blocks on 33rd Street from Park to 8th Avenue. Wander this corridor when you're itching for a good pint and you'll stumble onto a number of Irish drinkeries ready and waiting to aid in your merrymaking. But one of the shiniest emerald stars among them is Feile, an expansive bar that has welcomed us with open arms on more than one occasion. A Gaelic word meaning "festival," Feile is always up for a good time and, thanks to its 13 flatscreen TVs placed around its walls, it plays host to a number of college alumni groups and fan-driven sporting events during various seasons. Behind the bar are upwards of 35 Irish whiskies, 22 draft beers and nearly 100 bottled brews. Add to that a menu of traditional Irish pub grub, including Cottage Pie (ground beef, peas, carrots and cheddar-chive mashed potatoes), a Guinness Braised Short Rib sandwich and the Feile Burger topped with "bread & butter" pickles, and hot damn, we're suddenly all about Midtown.

Menu Highlights:
Loaded Chips, $9
Cottage Pie, $15
Guinness Braised Short Rib Sandwich, $16
Feile Burger, $11

Daily, 11:30 a.m. to 4 a.m.
