It’s a haven for both newcomers and wine aficionados alike to kick back and enjoy their favorite glass (or two). Travel the world by grape, or ask the staff for a wise decision. Either way, the list of international options here is endless, and the evidence is all around. Wine racks line the interior, adding up to around 200 wines by the bottle and 30 by the glass on any given day. No matter its contents, each order at Winebar is served with the proper equipment: every pour arrives in high quality Riedel stemware (trust us, it makes a world of difference). The selection varies frequently based on the season – just another reason to keep coming back for another glass. We’re happy to put our trust in Winebar to choose the right Merlot for a cold winter night or Moscato for a bubbly summer afternoon.
Of course, it almost goes without saying that wine is a beautiful and effective companion for their hearty tapas menu. Savor an order of the Spicy Lamb Meatballs and the Patatas Bravas for a satisfying duo, or go the purist route with an order of one of the cheese platters. Pledge allegiance to the fromage of France, Italy or Spain, or go ahead and let the chef choose an international assortment of six varieties. Pro-tip: Save some room for the bar’s popular flatbreads. The Porcini comes with a rich topping of mushrooms, Fontina Val d’Aosta cheese and truffle oil. And it’s luxurious cousin, the French Onions Mergue, comes loaded with caramelized onions, mozzarella, ricotta, lamb sausage and thyme oil. Both options are an acceptable reason to stick around for another bottle of red (don’t mind if we do).
