Let's face it: the "cons" of being a grown-up are plentiful. There's rent to pay, jobs to hold down, relationships to manage, groceries to acquire in earnest, and then keep from rotting while you continue with your rut of getting pizza from the place downstairs. It's rough. But every now and then, something comes along that illustrates how truly rewarding it is to be over 21. Today's reminder? The combination of Girl Scout Cookies and craft beer, courtesy of Double Windsor.
As part of the
Second Annual Brooklyn Beer Summit
(this is how serious beer geekery gottenit has its own summits now), Double Windsor is hosting this brilliant pairing event that aims to enhance the pleasure of Thin Mints and Samoas by hooking them up with small-batch brews. The full list of featured beers has yet to be released, but Ommegang and Colorado's Left Hand Brewing Company will definitely be represented, as will a full range of Girl Scout Cookies, minus the minors who sell and benefit from them. Sorry, kiddos, this one's for those of us who pay the bills.
