Perhaps it was inevitable, given that growlers of local beer are now so ubiquitous you can score them at Duane Reade, but we're still surprised and excited about this Brooklyn Winery innovation. After riding the trend of wine on tap, Brooklyn Winery has taken the next step: you can now fill a growler with fresh vino, made right here in New York City. Think of it as barrel-to-fridge drinking.

The first of its kind in New York, Brooklyn Winery's growler program gives you the ability to take home wines that haven't yet been made available by the bottle. You can choose from their entire range of signature wines, including barrel-aged Riesling, Chardonnay, Rosé (made with Merlot), Tempranillo, and Pinot Noir. If you're new to the idea, the best way to get acquainted is through the winery's Growler Wednesdays; if you show up on these nights and spend $75, you'll score a free Growler of the wine of your choosing (excluding Pinot Noir). Has there ever been a better excuse to order another glass?
