Let's face it: This extended holiday period has kept us huddled up in our apartments in an extended food-and-family coma. Yeah, we haven't got out much.

Since we're only at the January turn, it's time for a friendly reminder: We've still got months left in hot chocolate season! (Also, a Twitter follower asking us for our recommendations helped shake a few things loose too. Thanks @Samantha3050!) We naturally made a b-line for the thick, creamy, rich hot chocolate at City Bakery on 18th St and 5th Ave. How can you beat a handmade marshmallow the size of the hand that made it?!

But, our own bias aside, there're tons of places around the city to grab a hot cocoa, and there's gotta be some other stellar stand outs. So we decided to take it to the streets and ask you, our loyal and intrepid Scouts, where the best hot chocolate lies.

We think you came up with a pretty rich list:

La Burdick
