3rd Annual Burger Week

Various Locations, NYC

If our wallets and our metabolism permitted, we’d eat the fattest, juiciest burger money could buy every week of the year. But if we can’t hit all 52, these next seven days are the time to do it. It’s NYC’s 3rd Annual Burger Week and there’s a lust-worthy lineup of events to celebrate the delicious patties people are fixin’ up around the city. Get ready to sink your teeth into a screening of Hamburger America or taste the tequila and whiskey infused Boozed Up Burgers at Rare Bar & Grill. Tickets range from $23 to $49 per event.

The 7th Annual Scrabble for Cheaters

826NYC, 372 5th Avenue, Brooklyn

Getting stuck with four “E” tiles would be enough to make anyone at least a little tempted to sneak a peek into the dictionary. At the 7th Annual Scrabble for Cheaters, such deception isn’t just OK — it’s encouraged. Guests sign up in teams of two, then play tournament style while purchasing cheats like "Invent a Word," "Buy A Vowel," and "Create A Blank." The top wordsmiths will win the coveted Cheater’s Cup while the rest of us munch on the Shake Shack goods they’ll have on hand. Admission is $50 per person, and all proceeds go to fund free programs at New York public schools.
